What’s Cooking: March 2-March 8

Bring on March! I wish I could say we have some fantastic plans lined up this month, but we don’t. M has a week-long work trip (groan) and since it’s in Atlanta, he’s going to extend the trip a few more days to see family and friends. I’m trying to find a cheap flight to join him for a weekend, but it’s not looking good. Tonight is our Culinary Challenge night — Mexican! I can’t wait to gorge myself on cheese and margaritas tonight. Maybe I’ll picture myself on a beach somewhere warm…

Here’s what I’m cooking this week:

Sunday: Puffed Pastry Pizza

Monday: Steak Bomb Sandwich

Fat Tuesday! I’m cooking a shrimp recipe out of Taste of Treme: Creole, Cajun, and Soul Food from New Orleans’ Famous Neighborhood of Jazz which M brought home for me after his Bachelor party in New Orleans

Wednesday: Braised Garlic Honey Mustard Chicken Thighs with Shallots

Thursday: Sausage and Tomato Orecchiette

Friday: OUT!

Saturday: Culinary Challenge Night
